Vernon C. Parmley, M.D.

Dr. Parmley received his Bachelor of Science in microbiology from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, in 1977. He earned his Medical Degree from The Uniformed Services School of Medicine in Bethesda, Maryland in 1982 and finished his internship at Letterman Army Medical Center in San Francisco, California, the following year.

Dr. Parmley remained at Letterman for his Ophthalmology Residency, which he completed in 1987. He finished his fellowship training in cornea and external disease at Dean McGee Eye Institute, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, in 1991. He was the Director of Cornea Services at Madigan Army Medical Center until joining the Eye Clinic of Wisconsin.

Prior to leaving the Army, Dr. Parmley established the Madigan Refractive Surgery Center for treatment of refractive errors in soldiers.

Dr. Parmley joined the Eye Clinic of Wisconsin in 2003 and rejoined in 2022.
