2017 Dr. Gordon Backer Scholarship Recipient

The Eye Clinic of Wisconsin is happy to announce that Megan Ninnemann of DC Everest High School is the recipient of the 2017 Dr. Gordon Backer Memorial Scholarship.
The scholarship was created to h
onor Eye Clinic founder Dr. Gordon Backer after his passing in 2014. It was available to students in seven counties that were graduating high school this spring and entering college full-time with a focus on health care.
Megan’s academic activities, personal statement, and extensive volunteering set her apart from the other candidates. She will be attending the University of Wisconsin-Madison this year, and intends on entering the field of Medicine, either as a Physician or a Physician’s Assistant. Megan has been awarded a one-time $1,000 scholarship to use toward her future studies.
The scholarship will renew again in 2018.
