Comprehensive OphthalmologyDr. Flaherty received his Bachelor of Science in molecular biology from the University of Wisconsin at Madison in 1979. He earned his M.D. from Loyola University of Chicago in 1984 and finished his internship at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, WA, the following year. He completed his Ophthalmology Residency at Loyola University of Chicago in 1988. Dr. Flaherty completed a fellowship in external disease and corneal transplants at the University of Louisville in Louisville, KY, in 1989. He then completed additional training in oculoplastics and reconstructive surgery at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary in Boston, MA.
Dr. Flaherty joined the clinic in 1989.

Christopher M. Galang, D.O.

Ophthalmic Plastic & Reconstructive SurgeryDr. Galang received his Bachelor of Science in pharmacology and toxicology from the University of Wisconsin at Madison in 1990. He earned his Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) from the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences in Des Moines, Iowa, in 1996, and finished his internship at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing, Michigan, the following year. He completed his Ophthalmology Residency at the Detroit Osteopathic Ophthalmology Consortium in Pontiac, Michigan, in 2000.
Dr. Galang has completed two fellowships; one in pediatric ophthalmology at the Children’s Hospital of Michigan in Detroit in 2001, and a second in ocular trauma and reconstructive surgery at the Kresge Eye Institute in Detroit, MI in 2002.
Dr. Galang joined the clinic in 2002.

Luis Ferdinand M. Galang, D.O.

Functional Plastic SurgeryDr. Galang received his Bachelor of Science in business administration from the University of Wisconsin at Madison in 1990. He earned his Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) from Des Moines University Osteopathic Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa, in 2000 and finished his internship at Michigan State University’s POH Medical Center in Pontiac, Michigan, the following year.
He completed his Ophthalmology Residency at the Detroit Osteopathic Ophthalmology Consortium in Pontiac, Michigan, 2004. Dr. Galang finished his fellowship in ophthalmic and facial plastic surgery at Consultants in Ophthalmic & Facial Plastic Surgery in Southfield, Michigan, in 2005.
Dr. Galang practiced in Troy, MI, before joining the clinic in 2007.
