John A. Flatter, M.D.

Cataract SurgeryDr. Flatter graduated from the University of California in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry/Molecular Biology. He went on to earn his medical degree in 2015 from the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, and while there served as the Vice President of the American College of Physicians, Student Chapter.
Dr. Flatter completed his internship at the Medical College of Wisconsin affiliated hospital, St. Joseph’s in Milwaukee, and his ophthalmology residency at Penn State Eye Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania. He has served with World Blindness Outreach in the Dominican Republic, providing care for cataract and corneal transplant patients.
Dr. Flatter joined the Eye Clinic of Wisconsin in 2019.

Luis Ferdinand M. Galang, D.O.

Cataract SurgeryDr. Galang received his Bachelor of Science in business administration from the University of Wisconsin at Madison in 1990. He earned his Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) from Des Moines University Osteopathic Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa, in 2000 and finished his internship at Michigan State University’s POH Medical Center in Pontiac, Michigan, the following year.
He completed his Ophthalmology Residency at the Detroit Osteopathic Ophthalmology Consortium in Pontiac, Michigan, 2004. Dr. Galang finished his fellowship in ophthalmic and facial plastic surgery at Consultants in Ophthalmic & Facial Plastic Surgery in Southfield, Michigan, in 2005.
Dr. Galang practiced in Troy, MI, before joining the clinic in 2007.

Christiana L. Gandy, M.D.

Glaucoma & Comprehensive OphthalmologyDr. Gandy received her Bachelor degree in Music from Southeastern Louisiana University in 2007. Before attending medical school, she earned a Master and a Doctorate degree in piano performance from the University of Maryland. She then pursued her Doctor of Medicine degree at the University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore, graduating in 2017. The following year, she completed an internship at MedStar Harbor Hospital in Baltimore. She then completed her ophthalmology residency at New York Presbyterian Hospital – Weill Cornell Medical College in 2021, followed by Glaucoma Fellowship at the Duke Eye Center of Duke University in 2022.
Dr. Gandy will join the Eye Clinic of Wisconsin in 2022.

David C. Tuman, M.D.

Dr. Tuman received his Bachelor of Arts in economics from Northwestern University, Evanston, Illinois, in 1987. He earned his M.D. from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 1991 and completed his internship at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center in Aurora, Colorado, the following year. He finished his Ophthalmology Residency at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC, in 1997.
After completing assignments to Tripler Army Medical Center in Hawaii and Blanchfield Army Community Hospital at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, Dr. Tuman joined the clinic in 2000.
